Beloved husband of 54 years to MaryAnn (nee Kula); loving father of Linda Longville (Paul), Mark (Mary) and Greg (Lori); proud and cherished grandfather of Kim, Eric and Becca Longville and Katie, Lizzie, Emma and Jake Jira; son of the late Clara (nee Jindra) and Frank Jira; brother of Rosemarie Polefko and the late Frances Nemeth, Norbert, Clarence and Gertrude; uncle and great-uncle of many. Funeral Mass Thursday, March 8, St. Richard Church, (26855 Lorain Rd.) at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS, N. Elmer was a PlayhouseSquare RedCoat Volunteer since 1994 and served as a Head Usher since 2003, giving nearly 2200 hours of his time. We appreciate his service and he will most surely be missed.
