Elmira A. "Mira" DeRocha

Elmira "Mira" A. DeRocha passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the age of 95; she now rejoins her beloved husband of 65 years, Raymond E. DeRocha, Jr. Elmira was a native of Gonzales and longtime resident of River Ridge. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. DeRocha Jr; her parents, Armand Allen and Georgina Taillon Allen Tullier; and her siblings, Ambrose Allen, Bertha Tullier, Hazel LeBlanc, Lawrence Allen, Robert Allen and George Tullier. Elmira is survived by her daughters, Diane Bilbo and Kathryn White; grandchildren, Risha Rodgers, Brandt Bilbo (Debbie), Ryan Bilbo (Holly) and Allen Bilbo (Kate); great-grandchildren, Michael Rodgers, Jr., Nate Bilbo, Cameron, Ivy and Walker Bilbo and Maggie Rae Bilbo; sisters, Marie Martinez and Lillie Mae Jumonville. After graduating high school and finding the love of her life, she had a full time job raising her two beautiful daughters. Elmira will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Melissa and John Fabacher for their loving care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Catholic Service on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La.
