MASON — Elmo Lee Cundiff, 88, of Mason, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017, in Overbrook Rehabilitation Center, Middleport, Ohio, following a brief illness.

He was born October 15, 1929, in Mason, a son of the late Harold Jack and Charlotte Lucille (Kimes) Cundiff. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Cundiff and a son, Dennis Joe Cundiff; brothers, Dale and Cecil Cundiff; sister, Sandra Cundiff.

He was a graduate of Wahama High School and was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean era. He was a retired roll shop operator from Constellium, Ravenswood and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local # 5668 Ravenswood. He enjoyed hunting.

Survivors include his sons, Gary L. Cundiff and his wife Grace of Sumter, S.C., Brian K. Cundiff and his wife Becky of Hartford; daughters, Cathy Jean Price and her husband Mike of Langsville, Ohio, Jill Ann Stewart and her husband James "Bub" of West Columbia; brother, Rusell Cundiff of Mason; sisters, Wilda Mayhan of Point Pleasant and Silvia Pearson of Mason; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Cundiff of Letart; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.

Service will be Wednesday at 3 p.m., October 25, 2017 at the Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, with Pastor Charlie Cundiff officiating. Burial with military honors will be provided by V.F.W. Post # 9926 Mason, American Legion Post #140 New Haven, in Sunrise Cemetery, Letart. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Arrangements provided by Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason.
