To the family, many, many friends, colleagues and fans of this wonderful woman Ms. Eloise Greenfield fine comfort with you during this difficult time in your lives. We will missed Ms. Eloise Greenfield's presence and her many contributions to her community and she wanted black voices to be heard in children's literature. She went on to publish almost 50 children’s books, including prose, poetry, and biographies. That love and sense of self she gave to Black kids of all ages will live through...

The loss of your loved one has shake all of us up terribly. She has left a full legacy that can never be forgotten that we will cherish. From the beautiful words of others on this site and on social network she was not only an exceptional writer but a good human being.

I am going to familiarize myself with the works of MS. Greenfield. My heart goes out to her family and friends. May Jehovah comfort them in their grief.

She was a wonderful children's book author. I was honored to know her. I think I loved and probably read all her books. I especially loved "Childtimes" because I grew up in Langston Terrace (NE Washington) too.
