Not sure what to say?

My name is Christine Knight. My mother Florence Gorte Fritzler was very good friends with Eloise. I believe they were in each others weddings. I am very sorry to here of her passing. I remember her as a child being a very nice lady.

Eloise could play a mean game of canasta and I was always the one who sat next to her and watched her sober face when she played a card that totally screwed me up. I'll miss Eloise and her frequent reminders that the "golden years weren't always that golden", but she never gave up and I'm pretty sure she's up in heaven challenging someone to a game of either canasta or bridge. She always had a kind word to say about everyone and what a gift she has been to all of us. My prayers and...

Alovely, lovely lady who met the challenge when it came to keeping up with Jack. I will remember her fondly..Condolences to the family. Joan Schnell

I remember a line from the documentary about Uncle Jack saying that he was "one of a kind". This must be why he and Aunt Eloise were so well matched because she was one of a kind, too. She had a real gift for making people feel special, but what I think I'll miss most of all is her sheer optimism. Much love to the Gardners, and Jones families, and to everyone else who was lucky enough to know my sweetheart of an aunt, Aunt Eloise!

What a great lady! She always seemed to have a smile for everyone. We didn't see her often, but enjoyed being with her when we did.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in their loss. May God bring you comfort and peace.

I remember the Christmas when Aunt Ella posed on a motorcycle for her Christmas card. I always thought that was so cool. She and I had quite a few things in common, but some of my favorites our these: our love of a good cold beer, our love of chocolate, and our love of our big family get-togethers. She will forever be etched in my memory as my Great-Aunt who filled the room with laughter, and a whole lotta love.

I will remember Aunt Eloise for many things, cannasta, candy and etc. But the thing I will always remember and admire her for was the work she did at Duniway School helping young kids learn to read. I think for her it was a passionate mission in her life as she always said that reading was one of the most important skills and joys in a person's life. She was a terrific aunt and will be greatly missed. Peter Miller (Osaka, Japan).

My sympathy.

I have great memories of Eloise, especially during my adolescence. She lived with us one summer when I was younger and she helped my mother with John and me. The only time I ever remember my dad laying a hand on me was when I sassed Eloise and I was sent to my room. We had lots of good times when we were both working downtown and would meet after work. She also is remembered for loving a painting we had in our home on Kimberly and always asking if we were ready to give it to her when...
