Not sure what to say?

She was special. I first met her at the Southern Cross Chatper, United Daughters of the Confederacy meetings. There I found out she was born in Americus, Georgia...only thirteen miles from my hometown, Ellaville.
Also we share the same sorority...Alpha Xi Delta.
My deepest sympathy.

Eloise Patterson was one of Ponce &
Gables High's greatest treasures. A life to be celebrated ! She left many fond memories with all of us.

Eloise Patterson was a marvelous teacher who inspired me to always do my best. I needed that because Spanish was difficult for me. I graduated from Coral Gables High School in 1951, first class in the new school. I was in her class at Ponce de Leon for 2 years.
In 1992 I had the privilege of being her pastor at First United Methodist Church in Coral Gables. She was very faithful in attendance and support. We shared many happy memories. I will always give thanks for Eloise and the...

Miss Eloise Paterson was easily one of my favorite teachers at Ponce. Believe it or not I took four years of Spanish under her guidance. She encouraged with enthusiasm, and that enthusiasm was reflected in all our work. A grand person and lady, always to be always remembered. GRACIAS QUERIDA MAESTRA.

Mrs. Patterson taught me Spanish at Ponce De Leon High School in 1943-44. She was one of my favorite teachers; she had a joyful, sparkling personality, and a sharp mind and a wonderful wit.

Dear family! I am the youngest of four children to Ruth and Emanuel Goldweber. My siblings and I have had classes with Eloise Patterson from the beginning of time. I think she was fresh out of college when my brother, Seymour (dec) studied Spanish.
Speaking for all of us (and we have discussed this before) Ms. Patterson was one of our favorite teachers. She was always concerned for us learning ~ making it fun to learn and speak Spanish. She had tremendous forsight ~ always reminding...

Every student at Ponce de Leon High School admired Eloise Patterson. She was a credit to the teaching profession as well as a wonderful person.

Miss Patterson was my homeroom teacher for three years in the early 1960's at Coral Gables High. She was always calm, soft spoken, and kind.
