Wells Funeral Services - Liberty Obituary

Eloise Rollins Ballard was born on February 15, 1948 in Galveston, Texas.  She was the daughter of Artie and Veola Rollins.  She graduated from Liberty High School and El Centro College in Dallas, Texas.  She worked many years as a surgical technician and a school bus driver in her retired years.

She was married to Moses Ballard Sr. (deceased) and the loving mother of one daughter Juanita Toole (Qunice) Dallas, Texas.  She was a loving grandmother to her two grandchildren Jermaine Toole (Seattle), Grace Toole (Dallas) and her great-grandchild Maximus Taylor-Toole (Dallas).

Eloise is survived by two siblings Artie Rollins (Terri) Houston, Texas and Vivian Gloria Green Katy, Texas along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A woman who was affectionately called Nannie by many and Friend by most.  She opened her heart and doors to many family members helping them whenever she could.  She was a passionate cook and a very funny foodie.  She was a warrior and a survivor.  Her love was abundant and her smile was contagious.  She would find out what you liked to eat and make each person feel special.  She will be missed by her daughter, family, friends and her amazing church family. Eloise never met a stranger her laughter filled the room.

"My command is this: Love each other as I loved you.  Greater love has no than this: to lay down one's life and one's friend. You are my friends if you do what I command." - John 15:12-14

"Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you have a grievance against someone.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you." Colossians 3:13

This was our favorite Mexican restaurant in Hardin. We went there every month. My dearest sweet friend and sister in the Lord I miss you so very muchPam

Wow! The last gift you bought me for my birthday in April was a beautiful wind chime. I hung it in my magnolia tree on my back porch the other day. I feel you when the wind blows, I see you in the sunrise and I hear you when it rains. You are saying "I'll be there if the creek don't rise. When are we going to the beach sister? When I get there where you're at we will swim together in the rivers of life with Jesus our King.
