Eloise Cockrell Sanders

I was saddened first to hear of her recent medical problems and then her unexpected passing. She was always kind to me, opening both her heart and home in my various visits to Eutaw from childhood to adulthood. Most precious was several years ago when getting ready to leave, Uncle Milburn told me, "You can't leave yet, Eloise has prepared Sunday Dinner." Dinner nothing, it was a feast, but only 3 meats and 5 vegetables + dessert!! I ate so much I hurt myself. I still keep a note that...

Eloise has been a big part of my life since I was born, and I was blessed to have her as family. When I was young, she was one of the adults (Mike was born just three months before me), more an aunt than a cousin, but as we aged and shared memories and experiences, we became part of the same generation, as people so often do. I'm grateful for the time we spent together and will keep her memory alive as long as I am here. I'll miss you, Eloise.

It is a honor that she has been in my life since my birth. Wonderful aunt that was very special to me my whole life. I will love and miss her forever..

My children all loved to go see their dad at the highway dept. cause Misss Eloise was there and she cooked popcorn. She was a really nice lady.
