CROSS, Elsie B. - Of Flint, age 73, died Monday, March 17, 2003 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Friday, March 21, 2003 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2200 Forest Hill in Flint, Reverend John K. Benissan officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church or a charity of one's choice. Visitation 5-8PM Wednesday and 12Noon- 8PM Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Elsie will be at the church from 12Noon until the time of the service on Friday. She was born in Flint, Michigan on February 7, 1930 and was a resident of Flint all of her life. She was a very active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She married William Cross on May 27, 1950 and he died on August 25, 1990. Surviving are 5 children, Robert and wife Marsha Cross of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Patricia and husband Daniel Helmer of Flint, Nancy Cross of Franklin, Tennessee, Gerald and wife Sherri Cross of Flint, Richard and wife Kerri Cross of Brighton, Michigan; grandchildren, Robert and Amanda Cross, Jeff Helmer, Jamie Hoffman, Joshua Cross, Nate, Kayla and Jennifer Cross; great-grandchildren, Amelia Cross, Skyler Cross, Chloe Cross and Allison Helmer; sisters-in-law, Lorraine LaLonde and Hellen Cross. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Arvid and Beatrice (Jackson) Knutson; granddaughter, Crystal; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
