Marty and Elsie were our neighbors and my refuge whenever I ran away from home. Marty took us on calls and let us eat cherry cough drops and popcorn and greasy hamburgers at the Snackery. LC with her kindness and care sharing with us-- her cocker spaniel puppies, white kittens, pet mice and seahorses. We loved them dearly. Thank you Patsy, Bob, Bill and Judy for sharing your folks with us. Lots of love, Karen Currie

I've enjoyed spending time with the Leonard and Lyman families. I've especially enjoyed their fond stories of "Mom". What an interesting, vibrant woman -- I wish I had met her! I can only express deep sympathy to the family members who miss her, yet have years of memories to sustain them. Love to all...

We would rake them into huge piles and go diving into them. Mom would always be there with a bandage and after we were worn out, warm us up with tomato soup and toasted chese sandwiches. It was such a care free childhood. When I was 16 -17 years old and working late at a service station Mom would sometimes drive 5 miles, look in the window to...

Best wishes to the Leonard family at this difficult time. Having known Marty well, I concur with the thought that Elsie was a saint. I also agree how stunning the resemblance is between this photo and Patsy. It is pleasant to think of Marty once again being" reined in" by Elsie's guiding hand.

It is a teen-age "lifetime" that I had the privilege to share with "Ellie Mae", Martin E. and all of their children, but especially one of my truly best friends, Patsy. Elsie was a great listener and could bring a new perspective to any subject. I will always treasure the times spent in the Leonard household. My sincere sympathy to the entire family. I love you all.. a friend and classmate...

I met Elsie many, many years ago when she came for a visit to the Cape, She was always quick with a smile and and a funny comment. She will be missed, but she can keep Marty on his toes now. Barbara

My mother -- so beautiful, so smart, and so talented, and the first person who taught me so much -- not just about making a welcoming home for your family and friends, but to be strong and independent, and care for others and be able to make a living and a life for yourself. It does give me solace to know that she and Dad are together again.
