I served with Elspeth "Pinky" for many years as a volunteer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I was always struck by how modest she was about her considerable skills. I appreciated her dry humor. I am happy to have known her and miss her. With my sincerest sympathy and condolences, Kay Olson Freeman.

To Elspeth's family,
What a blessing of her life to have helped developed and support the Metroplitan Museum of Art Volunteer program. Exposing children to her artistic sensibility and to the MMA collections has to have made a positive lasting impression on all who shared this opportunity.
