Elva G. Mills

Mrs. Elva G. Bailey Mills 78 of Peaks Ridge went on home to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and her husband Amos on Friday, November 24, 2006 at her home following a long illness Born June 22, 1928 at Beartown, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Gladys Stanley Bailey. Elva was a member of the Basin Freewill Baptist Church at Basin and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, Great Grandmother and sister. She was loved and blessed by all who met her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Amos S. Mills on September 18, 1987 and one sister in law Shelby Bailey Survivors Children Dwight Mills and wife Beverly of Basin Roger Mills and wife Shirley of Basin Kathy Shrewsbury and husband Cerberd of Basin Donna Foley and husband Lacy of Basin Billy Mills and wife Phyllis of Basin 16 Grandchildren 15 Great Grandchildren 6 Step Grandchildren 11 Step Great Grandchildren Brothers Silas Bailey and wife Lillian of Beartown Jack Bailey of Crumpler Robert Bailey and wife Shirley of Matoaka Her Family who she loved dearly at the Basin Freewill Baptist Church Her caregivers of community Hospice of America from Beckley Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. from the Basin Freewill Baptist Church at Basin with Reverend Hugh McKinney and Reverend Grant Prince officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell-McKinney Cemetery on Peaks Ridge in Basin. Friends may call today after 6:00 P.M. at the Home of 44 years on Peaks Ridge. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers
