Litchfield resident, 92 KEARNEY - Elva Sweley, 92, of Litchfield died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ravenna with the Rev. Micah Gaunt officiating. Burial will be at Litchfield Cemetery....
Read MoreI was saddened to read about Elva's death. I always enjoyed visiting her on the farm (and later in the nursing home) to bring her God's Word and Holy Communion. We always had to have coffee and cookies afterward and that was fun, too. I thank God that, by His grace, she has now received the crown of life.
