Elvera Louise Dean Kramer

Elvera Louise Dean Kramer, 89 of Gering, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Regional West Medical Center.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Scottsbluff. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday at Gering Memorial Chapel from 5-7 pm. Memorials may be made to the Gering Senior Center. Fond memories and condolences may be left at

Louise was born on July 6, 1935, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Lewis and Lila (Catlet) Cawley. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School.
She married Darrell L Dean on November 20, 1955, and made their home in Gering. She later married Raymond D. Kramer on November 27, 1971.
Louise was a member of the church, Gering Fire Auxiliary, Moose, Elks, Eagles, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She enjoyed riding her bike, walking, camping and fishing, and cleaning geese. She loved cooking, baking, canning, and gardening. Louise especially loved watching football (Huskers). She treasured her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved babysitting kids.
Survivors include her children, Ron (Sandy) Dean of Gering, Vickie (Steve) Fritzler of Alliance, Brenda Schultz (Gary Huber) of Gering, Eldon (Sheryl) Kramer of Gering; stepchildren, Darwin (Cecilia) Kramer and family of Cheyenne, Wy and Wyatt (Kimi) Kramer and family of McGrew; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Darrell Dean and Raymond Kramer; siblings, Loris (Forrest) Ellis, Wendell (Charleen) Cawley, Alina L Cawley and Lorin L Cawley; grandson, Nathan Dean; nieces, Louise and Susie; nephew, Dick Walquist; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Keith and Wilma Dean; in-laws, Edna Griffiths, Karen Kramer, Robert Kramer, Hazel Kramer, Doris Kramer, Bob Magnuson, Joe Kramer, George (Darlene) Kramer, Ben Fox, Keitha Dean, Quentin and Deanna Dean, Darrell and Velma Onstott.
