Not sure what to say?

Dear Ellen,

Your mother was always sweet and affectionate to me. I happily revered her as my Godmother, which I considered a privilege. I remember her voice, laugh, and beautiful smile. She was so tolerant of all of the antics of Eddie, you and me. She played Michelle on the piano for us but she liked it too. When she'd hear When I'm Sixty-Four the line, grandchildren on your knee, Vera, Chuck and Dave I would look at her and we would both smile.

She is beyond our vision...

Mom, You are too beautiful a soul to be taken from this earth; but as you said, no one gets out alive. I'm thinking of you and lighting a candle in your honor and memory.
Peace be with you forever.
Love,
Your Daughter Elizabeth

Thank you to all the cherished friends and family who posted heartfelt thoughts and memories of our sweet mother Elvira. We deeply appreciate your kind expressions and sympathy. God Bless you all.
Love, The Murphy Family

So many memories of the Murphy clan. While I have been gone from SI for over 44 years, Mrs. Murphy's smile is fresh in my memory. I last saw her at Mrs. Perrotti's house many years ago and she was always so happy to catch up with me. Had lots of good times at the Murphy home in my teen years.. She was a lovely person and is resting in peace with all the OLQP Moms who preceded her in death. God speed Mrs. Murphy...

Whenever I think of my grandmother I see her smile and hear her laugh. I can't recall a time where she was frowning. She never seemed to anger or be in a dark mood. I don't think she ever was offended by someone's opinion, she showed tolerance in any situation. When I think of her it reminds me of then sun. It burns everlastingly no matter what. Even when it can't be seen, the sun is always behind the clouds. No matter the darkness around. Nothing can...

Whoever wrote Vera's obit did an excellent job. You captured so much of Vera's character and spirit. Just to hear her laugh brightened everyone's day. She was one of the most magnificent people I have ever known. She will be dearly missed, especially by us strays who would show up at her door at all hours; especially by those of us who were blessed to receive her counsel or simply have her give us her ear. My deepest sympathies to all the Murphy children. Nate

Dear Judy, John and all of your siblings, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have such wonderful memories of your home where "Mrs. Murphy" ruled the roost with un relenting energy, fantastic food, music and that smile. Her generous spirit was infectious; she asked us to serve a crowd of people for an MD fundraiser and were honored to do so as kids. She will be missed by many. Sending sympathy, Nancy Haugen Cowen
