Not sure what to say?

Bill and Lauren, I'm so sorry that Emalie lost her battle. I know it gives you some comfort that she's not suffering any more. She's in a much better place now and will be waiting for you. Bill, you know where I am if there's anything at all I can do.

I am sorry for your loss Our prayers are with the family

Bill & Lauren & all family/friends:
Although our grief is present, knowing she is safe in the arms of our Lord is such an encouragement, especially knowing how hard a fight she fought! She & you all have been such a wonderful blessing to know & care for. I'm so sorry I couldn't be there at the funeral celebration, but my own daddy went home to be with the Lord that Wed. Please know my prayers continue for you all, we have the certainty to see her (& dad) again in heaven. You all are a...

Mr. Brooks, and Lauren: My name is Deb Boggs. I know you don't know me, but I am a friend of Tom's. (I am the one who made the photo CD's from the Mexico and France slides.) I honestly do know how it feels to lose someone this close to you, and know the pain that comes with it. I pray that you will find comfort during this time. I...

I am so very sorry to hear of the death of Emalie. May God be with you and give you comfort during the difficult days ahead.

Many years ago Emalie and I shared an experience. We were both 3 years old and in a wedding for my cousin JoAnn and Ted Spellings. We did not know that is who was in our pictures until graduation 1963 when my mother told us both this story. Emalie had a genuine heart and I am sure she will be missed by many.

Dear Bill, Swan and I are so sad to hear of Emalie's passing. I will always remember fun times with her at Miss Hutchison, Central and later Memphis State. We are all better for having known her. Our prayers are with you and your family at this hard time. Sincerely, Jane McBurney Burrus

In the last year Emily and I had gotten back in contact after attending Central together. Emily was always supportive of me and it was just the right word or shoulder that was needed. I loved Emily all through the years.
We had special greetings such as: That's so chick and swerve (hand flip), meaning chic and suave. There was also: hubba, habba, woof, woof, arf. Her last e-mail said,I want to talk with friends about things other than my illness. So when I talk about Emily I speak of...

I enjoyed knowing Emalie at CHS. The past few years she was a prayer partner on the Episcopal Daughters of the King W. TN prayer list. I am so glad that I knew this dear person.Sending love and prayers to her family. Paula Wicker Hamby CHS '63
