Emanuel John Comandatore

I knew Manny both through our fathers and while skating at the Blvd Rink in the 50's along with his cousin Teresa. We both lived on Lembeck Ave and would run into each other often. My he rest in eternal peace.

I first met Manny in the mid-1950's when we were classmates at St Paul's School. We were together often through the following decade as we found our way through high school and college. We spent untold hours playing basketball in the court across from St Paul's rectory. We hung out together for untold evenings at Gross's candy store on Pearsall Avenue. I didn't know manny but I kinda got to know him through pictures on usarollerskaters.org when he was I'd say maybe 12 y.o. at the boulevard skating rink back in the 50s. He seamed to be a good kid and that quality probably stayed with him through life. R.I.P.
