I want to share my regard and admiration for Emerson. He was a mentor for me and many others. He was a friend in times of need and a counselor to many of us in our careers in public service. Florida is a better state and our community is better because of Emerson´s efforts. I am out of town and will miss his funeral, but I wanted to Express, my deep condolences to all of his family. In his early career, Mr. Allsworth assisted Bruce B. Blount, the Founder of Parkland, in the incorporation, founding, and naming of the city. His early assistance in that process enabled this once unincorporated agricultural area to grow into the wonderful city that it is today. RIP Mr. Allsworth.

As a Plantation Councilman from 1997 to 2005 it was always a pleasure to consider projects summited by Emerson and his law firm. Always fair and always a Plantation guy he was, He lived and worked in Plantation. A long life which leaves behind many friends and a great family. Emerson also made the introduction of my son Bob to Coach Howard Schnellenberger when Bob was choosing which school to commit to, which ended with Bob joining the Owls and a great era of building FAU football. RIP...
