Hard to believe that it's been 10 years since Dean's death. It makes me happy still to remember my friend and our times together. Only with a good friend can you enjoy serious conversation and silliness alike, and remember both. Kitty and I do remember him.

A truly courageous, bright and loving man, with a great sense of humor. Dean remembered and called us all by our first names and asked about our families. He cared, and we knew it. May the Rock Island Line be resurrected once again in heaven, along with our friend Emery Dean Curlee.
