The Freemans were like a second family to me during my high school years and I will never forget all of their kindness and generosity. Mr. Freeman was a wonderful family man and true gentleman.

Emery not only was good at getting the Ottawa students ready for battle during those football years - he was interested in the tennis at Ottawa during those championship years, he was always there for the tennis match against East in the snow, rain and cold. Thank you Emery, my sincere regards to the Freeman family.

I will always remember Mr. Freeman. He was my principal when I taught and coached at Union from 1964-1969. He was always in charge, always smiling, and always a gentleman-leader. Thanks for being in my life.
