I was very glad in August of 2006 when I came home to NY to visit and Jimmy Marino and I got a chance to spend the day with Emery at his home in Rhinebeck talking about the our old band, The Mark IV, and all the fun we had as teenagers back in the day from 1965-1967. May Emery's soul rest in Eternal Peace. I was so proud of his many life accomplishments and his family as he grew into manhood past our teenage years. His work ethic and civic pride were unstoppable. Later in our lives he was so kind to me in having me to his home, where, after a fine meal that Barbara cooked for us, we recorded some of my music and also a couple of old Chuck Berry songs in his terrific music studio; where he excelled in recording techniques. The Mark IV were my favorite band in high school-such memories! I had aconversation with Emery a few years ago when he became a patient at the doctor's office I was working for then-so glad that happened. Barbara, I knew you and your sister in high school but I am not sure you will remember me. I just wanted to express my sympathies to you and your family and let you know what a lasting impression Emery and his musicmhad on me.
