Not sure what to say?

It was a beautiful Fall day in Charleston, S.C.. I often wonder if it was Nov. 3rd...I was hanging clothes in the blue sky breeze and decided to give my ol' Buddy Red a call. I immediately heard the age in his voice. I fought back the tears as somehow I knew my great friend Red would not be with us long. Between my tears, I asked Red to receite some of my favorite jokes... Harry the Hairlip going to Rome and The drunk guy laying in the gutter with the pig walking by. Red struggled some...

Heartfelt condolences to Chris, Tammy, Colleen & Sue. Mr. W was like a 2nd father to all of us in the neighborhood. He was warm, welcoming and always wore a smile. Please find peace in knowing he touched so many lives in such a wonderful way.

Colleen, Sue, Tammy & Christopher & families, What a wonderful man your father was! He Loved life, his children and his grandchildren & those great-grandchildren! Bragged about all of His "Kids"! He was one of the nicest neighbor anyone could live next door! May God's Love be with you at this time of mixed feelings. Thanks to God, Ol' Red is already with his Lord & Savior. Never forget my yellow rose bush he planted in my front garden. One morning I was heading to work and I looked over...

Chris, find peace at this difficult time in knowing your dad "Redd" was a great guy who lived a long and happy life. I am honored to have had the pleasure of knowing personally. My deepest condolences to you and your family at this time. Cherish to good times you shared with him.

I knew this day would come but it's still so hard to face. My heart aches but through faith and the love you shared with all those in your presence we will get through this sorrow and turn to God in celebration for the many years we had with you. Mr. W, you were one of my best friends and I will always be thankful for the times we spent together. There is no doubt you are with our Lord and Savior and the rest of your family and friends who have gone on before you. What a great party that must...

Our deepest sympathy go out to the Walter family during this time of great loss and sorry. May the happy memories of the times shared with your Dad live in your hearts forever.

Chris,
I have many memories of your Dad and your family. When I think of Red I think of a craftsman with the patience to build or rebuild things for his home and family with meticulous execution. The swingset, pooltable and the cool kitchem cabinets. All Red's handiwork.
Those are childhood memories of your Dad that I can share with Sammy so that he knows what a talented good man he was.
But more importantly, I am so happy that you are now part of our family and I love how you love...

Tammy, Colleen, Suzanne, and Christopher,

Your Dad must have been a wonderful man. Even though we have never met him, we have heard stories of some of his antics. It always sounded like he had a zest for life, right to the end of his journey on Earth. Now that he is with Jesus in the Glory Land he will be able look down on all of us and be a reminder to us all that life is good and should be enjoyed to its fullest.

With Love and Deepest Sympathies,
