Not sure what to say?

Dear Anellos,
My late father, John Turck (bassoon and sax), played with Emil in the Blatz/Legion band, Music Under the Stars, and other groups for many years. My dad always had the greatest respect for Emil's talent and musicianship. I got to know him, too, a little bit. He was always so kind to me. I can still picture his laugh and facial expressions when I said something that he found funny. He was a good man. It was folks like Emil, my dad, and many others of their generation who kept...

Dear Anellos,
Our condolences to you and your family in the loss of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

My condolences and best wishes to all of you. I know Emil was as much of a real treasure to your whole family as he was to the musical world of Milwaukee and beyond. He will be missed!

He went everywhere and did everything. All with a wonderful woman by his side. Some might think how sad it is that he died, but I think it's how cool it is that he lived.

Emil was a model of performing in a professional manner and playing with musicianship. Fellow musicians, of whom I am just one, respected him and admired him. We all loved him.
He was so kind as to make a videotape for me from the archives of "Music under the Stars." That tape is even more of a treasure now. Thank you, Jean, for sharing him with us.
