On behalf of Eastern´s chapter of AAUP, I offer my condolences to Ann and the rest of Emil´s family. Emil was dedicated to serving our chapter for over a decade - as secretary, vice president, grievance officer, contract compliance officer, and negotiator for at least two of our collective bargaining agreements. We are stronger because of his leadership and our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends in their time of grief.

Emil was a bright light of friendship during my years in graduate school in the early 1980s. I loved talking with him on the radio and participating in radio competitions. My sympathies are with Ann at her loss.
