That all my dad's childhood buddies lived to old age is nothing less than amazing. Emil is the first to cross. Emil was a great uncle & one of the funniest men in the world. When I was a kid, I thought he was more handsome & a better singer than Dean Martin. He was a great uncle & the fact that he was married to my mom's twin sister made him all the more special. Thank you for many years of great memories.

I worked with your husband and father in the Chicago Police Department for several years. He was a terrific person whom everyone respected. He will be missed. I just lost my wife last Friday so I know what you are going through. Keep your faith in God as Emil will be waiting for you in heaven.

My Mom was so impressed that she wrote the Superintendent of Police a letter to thank that Officer. A reply came back in which the Officer was identified as Officer Spal. Fast forward to 1986 or 87 when that little boy...
