Emile Lallemand, better known to friends and family as “Milo”, age 88, of Dolton, IL, passed peacefully at home in the presence of family on January 8th 2022; Devoted husband, father and proud grandfather. Adored by all, Milo, leaves behind his loving wife Marie “Mimose” (nee Coupet), beloved sons Rudy, Sienky, cherished daughter Myriam (Gerald) and grandchildren Mizani, Alyssa, and Arielle.


Preceded in death, he joins in heaven his grandson Alexander M Hilton. Dear brother of Guy (late Sytha) Lallemand, Raymond (Elsie) Lallemand, Roger (Evelyne) Lallemand, and the late Pierre (late Catherine) Lallemand; survived by many members of the Lallemand, Paillant, and Coupet families.


Led by faith, family, duty, determination, and perseverance; he was a devoted Roman Catholic and member of St. Jude the Apostolic Catholic Church (Christ Our Savior), South Holland, IL; protector and provider to his wife and family.


Famously known as one of Haiti's best goal-keepers. Professional, disciplined, and no-nonsense referee; He played for the Violette Athletic Club, International Haitian Soccer Team and was invited by FIFA to referee the 1968 World Cup in Mexico.


Emigrating from Haiti, he found success as a long time Linotypist and Layout Editor for the Chicago Tribune and Southtown Economist.


Milo will be missed by many relatives and friends.

Visitation Saturday, from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM, at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162nd St. (Rte. 6) Dolton / South Holland. Interment private.

Mon uncle Emile was a very quiet , yet very loving and inspiring person. He was a person who was firm in his family commitment and dedication . Mon uncle Emile was a hard worker and faith man of God. He suffered for quiet sometimes and now he is with the Lord . Rest in Jesus arm and we will see you in the future . Nous vous Aime Beaucoup!
