Emilie Claire Woerner

Some years ago, just before Emilie made her change from Cook Children's to entering the Bank of Texas Accelerated Career Track program, I had the privilege of spending time with her. We first met at Rise N°3 where she taught me everything she knew about souffle and how that spot was a particular favorite of her and her sisters. She had the most genuine kindness about her. From my first memory of PreK and VBS at First Baptist to going to prom together our Junior year, Emilie was a blessing to any friend she had. Her genuinely gentle and kind nature, friendly smile and laugh will be something many of us will never forget. It still hard to grasp that you´re physically with us, but your beautiful soul lives forever in our memories of what an amazing person you were in this lifetime and that is something special in its own. Emilie was such a kind soul. We went to high school together and then ended up working at Cooks Children´s. She was always so friendly and welcoming. I thought about her recently then received this email that it´s been almost a year. I cannot fathom the loss her family must be feeling but I want to say she was an incredible person and I´m glad that I got to know her at some level.

We are praying for you and your family for comfort and peace as you navigate through this unimaginable loss.
