Not sure what to say?

We spent many a summer at Interlochen and Emily was the person you went to find out something about the history or what was going on at the camp. She was a great representative of Interlochen what is all about

I met Emily and her wonderful family in 1982 @ Interlochen Center For The Arts when I rented Mc Whorter Lodge. We were neighbors on Emerald Beach. She became a lifelong friend as we shared summers together @ Interlochen. Emily never missed a year sending me a heartfelt personal email Christmas card. Emily, her love & beautiful joy of life, family, friends & Interlochen will always be in my heart. Thank you Emily. Steven, Katie & Anne - my thoughts & prayers to you of healing & love.

Thank you for this beautiful tribute and remembrance. Although I didn´t have the privilege to know Emily, I have the good fortune of knowing her daughter, and can see the legacy of love and beauty that carries on in Katy. Blessings to your family ; may your hearts be reinforced with the love and strength that is clearly part of your inheritance!

Steve ,Dan Allen and Jeff would most times be engaged in a lively game of Dungeons and Dragons at the Boyds house. Emily was always sincerely interested in their school activities. She was so happy when learning about each individuals progress at StateHigh and their successes afterwards . She will be sadly missed by many people. I really...

We remember a vibrant, generous, kind and wise friend. Emily will always be in our hearts alongside her husband and our friend Bill. May her soul repose in peace.

When I was hired to work in the library for summer camp, Bill Boyd reached out to me prior to coming to camp since I was from Pennsylvania and he was at Penn State. But it was Emily who made sure that I was welcomed to the campus. I probably saw her almost everyday at the Minnesota building. She made everyone feel special.

So sad to hear of Emily's passing! Her smiling face in the Minnesota Building welcomed us "home" with each visit. RIP Emily!

Emily will always be an important friend for us, much admired and loved.
