Emily (Betty) Elizabeth Cisneros, 78, entered the Lord's heavenly kingdom on Friday, December 12, 2014 at University General Hospital in Houston, TX.
She was born on August 8, 1936 in San Benito, TX to Emilio Weaver and Evila Leal Weaver.
Emily was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to cook, shop, decorate, mail out cards for all occasions, was very generous, and loved people.
She is preceded in death by her son Frank Charles Cisneros, brothers, Walter Weaver and Ben Weaver, and sister, Mary Helen Stith.
Emily is survived by her family to cherish her wonderful memory, her loving & devoted husband of 60 years, Matthew C. Cisneros; children, Matthew Jay (Brenda) Cisneros, Ray Arthur (Antonia) Cisneros, Michael James (Elsa) Cisneros, John Richard (Kathy) Cisneros, Robert Anthony (Veronica) Cisneros, Sharon Elizabeth (Manuel) Cortez, & Trisha (Frank) Rojas; best friend, Ruby Grigsby; 43 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Albert Lee Weaver, Ann Bowers, Marjorie Jackson, Mary Lou Younger, Emilio Weaver Jr., Mary Alice Hinojosa, and Dick Allan Weaver, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 10am to 9pm with a prayer service to be held at 7pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 at 10am at Trinity Funeral Chapel with interment to follow to Las Rusias Cemetery in Los Indios.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Manuel Cortez, Frank Rojas, Matthew Jay Cisneros Jr., Mark Anthony Cisneros, Ray Edward Cisneros, Richard Lee Cisneros, Samuel Cisneros, Robert Cisneros Jr., Roland Cisneros, Rey Maurice Mendoza, Dru Orosco, and Aaron Orosco.
Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth Cisneros.
Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home 1002 East Harrison Avenue Harlingen, Texas 78550 (956)364-2444.

My most deepest sympathy to the Cisneros family. I remember moving to the Valley and finding out my Dad's only brother (Matthew) also lives here with Aunt Betty. She always made my family feel welcomed. I will miss receiving a card every holiday from Aunt Betty and the calls just to make sure everyone is doing okay. She was a very special human being.
