Funeral services for Emily Joann Copes, 56, of Rayville, LA, formerly of Monroe, LA were held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 1, 2013, in the chapel of Brown and Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA with Rev. Alvin Stowe officiating. Joann Copes was born in Rayville, LA, the daughter of the late, Oscar "DeBug" Johnston and the late Mary Lee Johnston and passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013. She was a retired Traffic Transportation Manager with the Gaylord Bag Company. Mrs. Copes is survived by her husband of 37 years, Alton Copes; and children, Joni Copes Smith and husband Kenny, Jason Copes and Joel Copes all of Monroe; sisters, Kathy Kelley and husband Hank of Monroe, Cindy Holley and husband Keith of Rayville; four grandchildren, Haley Beaver, Jesse and Troy Luke Smith, and Karli Copes.
