Not sure what to say?

I will truly miss Aunt Emily. I remember walking from Nanny and Pawpaws (James and Thelma) to Emilys to play when I would visit. My condolences to the family she was a wonderful woman.

To my dear, sweet mom...I miss you so much! The days ahead are not going to be easy, there will be times when I want to seek your advice and guidance...as I have many times...these are the times I will have to remember all that you taught me, to be the best person I can be, and have the best character possible and I can meet and face any challenges that life throws my way. I feel that you prepared me very well over the years, to live a full life and to raise my sons, Ryan and Kyle, with...

To my mom who I will miss so very much. I know you are still here watching over all of us as you always have. I know you hear me saying how much we all love and miss you. One day we will be with you again and that will be good. But until then always know how much you will be missed. You have and always will hold a special place in my heart and Carla, Angie, and Laura and all our little grandchildren. We really miss you mom. Your daughter, Virgina Ann

this has been the hardest thing i have ever had to go through. I had the best mom one could ask for and each and every day she will always remain with me in every walk of life. I will love her forever. My daughters and grandchildren will miss her. love forever your daughter Virginia Ann

when ever we visited she was always cooking it seemed like always had the best sausage around

We are so sorry to hear of Emilys passing on to eternity. Our thoughts and prayers will be with each of you in the days ahead.

Things that I am thankful for when I think of Aunt Emily.

Butterbeans (lima beans) with a bit of ham and little bits of chopped tomatoes
Fried chicken, Smithfield ham
Chickens running in the yard
Learning to put a pinch of baking soda in the ice tea to cut the bitterness
Fresh peanuts
A cracking voice hollerin for one of the children to clean up their mess
Right and wrong
Kindness
No nonsense
Biscuits and bacon
Soft spirit

You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Aunt Emily was such a special lady. She gave me lots of wonderful memories and I always loved to come and see her. She definitely made me remember Butterbeans :) from the time I spent with you all one summer in our early years. I wouldn't eat them for years, but now I love them. That's just one of my memories, she gave us many, from fishing trips to working in the garden or her sweet tea. We will miss her. Praying for you all for God's comfort and peace
