Condolences to Emily's family and close friends. I admired Emily so much for her fierce independence and tireless efforts for justice. I loved that she broke from many Democratic friends in support of Kucinich for President and 911 Truth. A spark of Emily will live in Santa Cruz. She touched so many of us.

Our condolences from Ricardo, Maria and myself. We will always remember the wonderful neighbor who helped us through so many troubled waters with our mother, Esperanza. Emily was a most extraordinary person.

I will always remember Emily for her absolute spunk and her compassion for people. I believe that she was a cousin of my father's (Gordon Gahagan) and when we had a family function she was most likely was there. I was in high school when she passed the bar exam and I remember thinking how "cool" she was. Strong minded, independent and a great laugh. When I was studying poetry some years ago, Emily sent me a packet of poems written by her relatives. I don't know how she found out about my...

I'm saddened by the news. We have lost a tenacious activist, something this country is in short supply of these days. Thank you to whoever wrote this. I did not know about her many accomplishments.
