Not sure what to say?

I still think of Emily regularly. I always hoped that we could connect more than an annual Holiday letter when we retired. Now that time has come an I've missed the chance. Her spirit lives on!

Please accept my belated condolences on the passing of Emily. I just learned of her passing. We were very close in high school but lost touch after. She was a wonderful friend - empathetic, caring, and compassionate. And so smart. May her memory be a blessing to you.

I have just learned (so very belatedly) of Emily´s death. I´m in shock. Such a lively, warm and caring person surely should live with us for many more years. Em was a superb lawyer who did excellent work for the Attorney General and the agencies she represented. The remarks left here reflect that so clearly. Her dedication to family and friends was remarkable. I will think of her as a bright star in my life and be grateful always for the friendship we shared. My heart goes out to Luis and...

I just learned that we have all lost the Emily we loved. She was the person I turned to at Girls High when my mom died and of course she was there then and many other times. We lost touch but I always hoped to reconnect. Peace to all who loved her!

I just read about this in the University of Hartford Alumni magazine and I am in shock. I am so sorry, Luis to learn of her passing. Emily and I were good college friends and co-workers at the UHA admissions office. We lost touch many years ago but I remember her so fondly and some of the best times of my life were shared with her. She was smart, beautiful and funny. I am in disbelief. Rest in peace, Ems.

My sincere condolences to Luis and the family. I had the pleasure of knowing Emily since 1989, when we worked at the Dept. of Higher Education. She was the same person back then as she was up until her passing. I was so thrilled when I found out she came to work with us at the Attorney General's Office and immediately reached out to her. It's as if we never lost contact. I will miss her hugs, laughter and cheery self. Love you, Emily ~ may you continue to do good work where you are now....

I had the pleasure and privilege of knowing Emily as both a coworker and a friend. Emily knew something about absolutely everything. "God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best." (Author unknown)
