Not sure what to say?

Our oldest daughter and husband now live in Misquamicut and visit several times a year. We attend Mass at Em and Gil's church, see Gil on occasion, and always think of Em when there. How fortunate we were that Nancy and Em got to be friends long after South High days. We are richer for our long friendship in spite of distance.

I hold my Godmother/cousin in my heart, thoughts and prayers every day. Emily is so deeply missed but I am still connected with her through our kindred spirit and strong faith.

My very sincere condolences in the passing of Emily. We were both in the South High School band and glee club and I remember how friendly she was. I'm sure that many of Emily's former classmates share your loss.

Dear Gil & Family:
Thankfully Nancy and I had the good sense to make the trek to Westerly to celebrate Emily's life. Beverly Mallett, Marion Holland and I were, I guess the unofficial delegates of the Band. And how fortunate we were to be there to share our remembrances and our love for "Em". Except for rare occasions distance and all the other excuses has kept us apart, but she and you have always been in our thoughts. I for one shall always be grateful for the times our ships of life...

I remember her beautiful voice

Gil,
Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.Emily had a true inner peace and beauty that enriched the lives of her classmates at South High as well as of everyone else who knew her. It was obvious at our 50th high school reunion in 2005 that time had not diminished those qualities in her. She was a truly wonderful person who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

To Emily's Family,
I'm shocked and saddened by Emily's death. We played in the South High Band for four years before graduating in 1955. I remember the good times we had with the band members, the band trips and other social activities. Emily was always the center of our group. I saw her at our 50th anniversary and she hadn't change much. And from reviewing the words of condolance in the Guest Book, I guess that was true!

She was an angel in our midst. May she find eternal...

Gil--My sincere condolences. Having lost my Jean almost 13 years ago, I know what you're going through. I don't think anything else in life is more difficult than the passing of a beloved spouse---God bless you and all of your beautiful family and may Emily rest in peace.

Dear Gil:

Emily was one person I will always remember from our high school years and all the fun we had with our band trips and classes together.

Our prayers are with you and the family during this time of great loss. We understand she was so courageous during the past year.
