Not sure what to say?

Still miss you dear friend.

We met Emily a year ago at the Dallas airport while awaiting our connecting flight to Omaha. Instantly she was my new best friend. Emily wanted to make sure our visit to Omaha and Creighton was a successful one, as Marissa was looking at Creighton as an incoming freshman for fall 2011 and a very nervous one. Emily had a big hand in her decision to commit to Creighton. Meeting with Emily and Mary Kate a few times over dinner, Emily made us feel good about the school and Omaha. She was so...

Rick, MaryKate,and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Emily's passing. She was such a great lady and we enjoyed her company in Puerto Vallarta having dinner and all the great sandwiches she would make for our boating trips. We will miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Emily Scott was an absolutely amazing woman. Fun, smart, and most importantly, loving. I can't even remember the number of time she opened her home up to me and others. I will miss her and will always remember the wonderful memories I have of her.

Rick & Family,

Emily and I have remained friends for 38 years and I was so blessed to have worked with her at McGrath North. It was extra special to see her with you at the AHS class reunions when you were back for them. I was saddened to receive the call from Bob telling me that she was in the hospital. The service planned by her was such a tribute to her and she will remain in my heart forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Sorry I could not attend the services for Emmy. I cherish her memory as if a member of blood family, given the relationship between the Scherrs and Kellers. What a vibrant woman, so many memories of her, from boyhood when she was sister Jane's year at HC/Mercy, thus Bernie's immediate elder, to working together as waiters in the first months of La Strada (while she was finishing law school), to "sneaking off to a movie with Julie" as adults, to the compliments she received from Omaha judges I...

When I think of Emily it brings several names to mind....Emi (cuz that's what she went by then), Janell, Barb C, Barb R.,Paula, Cres......let's face it, she had a lot of friends at Mercy! We did get in a smidge of trouble now and then, but always had a great time.
So glad we were able to get together last time I was in Omaha. The world lost a lovely lady.

In grade school, Emily and I were best friends. Then she went to Mercy and I went to Ryan and we lost touch with each other. We ran into each other again in the ICU at Bergen Mercy many years ago and then again a few other times more recently in the neighborhood. I am so saddened to hear of her death. We kept telling each other that we needed to get together to catch up, but as things too often go, we never got the chance. Your family is my prayers. I will never forget her and how much...

On behalf of the staff of Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Omaha, we offer our prayers and condolences. May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.

Sincerely,
