Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Emma "Emo" G. Frausto, 85, of Las Cruces entered enteral life to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, March 18, 2013 at La Posada - Mesilla Valley Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 22, 1927 in Picacho Village to Jesus and Tomasita Chavez Gutierrez. "Emo," as she was fondly known to her family and friends, was an excellent seamstress. She loved the company of friends and family and enjoyed cooking and sharing a meal with them. For over 15 years, she was very active with the Ladies Guild of Holy Cross where she was a devote member and enjoyed helping the children with their religious education. Emo will deeply missed by all. Those left to mourn her passing include one son, Margarito G. Frausto, Jr. and wife Estela of Las Cruces; a daughter, Mary Lou Narvaez of Albuquerque; and a sister Mary Esther G. Cuaron, also of Las Cruces. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Frank and Patrick Narvaez, Patricia Clark and Javier Limas; seven great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Martha Limas in 2001; three sisters and two brothers. Visitation for Mrs. Frausto will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. The holy mass of resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1327 N. Miranda St. with Rev. Alejandro Reyes officiating. The rite of committal and interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Ave. where she will lay to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Frank and Patrick Navarez, Martin Clark, Ramon and Javier Limas and Ramon Nuñez. Such a warm and amazing person. I spent a lot of time with her when my boys were young. We hit those Tupperware parties often had so much fun and I miss her. Always in my heart and prayers. You are not forgotten cause you live in my heart.
