To the family of Mrs. Emma Hughes, we send our condolences. May God give you peace and comfort during this time. I have known Ms. Emma my whole life. I have a memory that I hold very dear to my heart; sitting in the window seal at the Steelton Borough building watching Ms. Emma and my mother Idell Brown, as they learned to sew. I was about 5 or 6 years old. Who would imagine that a child so young could sit and watch these two ladies learn to sew and master the craft. In my teenage years, Ms....

I spent many days feeling very welcomed in Mrs. Hughes home with my friend Faye Hughes. May the family be comforted as they both rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Sister Emma's passing. She was a beautiful lady, wore fabulous clothes and shoes and was elegant all the time. Her smile will be missed by all. She lead by example.
