Emma Meekins was my godmother. In recent years, whenever I'd visit Bridgeport, I'd make every effort to stop by and see her. As my godmother, I looked to her as my living connection to my own mother. It was about this time last year that I was in town. My youngest son Andrew, was with me. She was so gracious to both of us and she loved meeting him for the first time.
