Emma Richards

It was an honor to know Emma. She was gentle, kind and caring. She will be missed by many friends.

To the family of Mrs Richard's She was working atthe Willis junior high school and also the Delaware Hayes High school when I attended both of these schools she worked in their school cafeteria. I remember her beautiful warm smile and she was so kind to everyone. I especially enjoyed seeing her everyday. The food she made was always so wonderful. On days she served Spanish rice I always went through the line twice it was so delicious and I can tell you that it has always been my favorite...

I am so sorry to hear of Emma´s passing. My father, Mel Woolford, of the Delaware City Schools, hired Emma to work at Hayes. When I was a student at Hayes in the 70´s, I fondly remember smelling her homemade peanut butter cookies (one of Dad´s favorites) in the mornings. She always graciously met me at the kitchen door with a cookie or two to start my day! Emma was a hard-working, dedicated cook that will always be fondly remembered.
