I read Emma's obit. I cried, I cried some more. This young woman was the light of the generations to come. A light that is in all of us. Not the few. When life is cut short on humans that seek only good and peace, it makes us wonder, wonder who really is in command. Love and peace win every time because this is God's plan. If only I could live in the grace of life like Emma. I hope and pray I can. Hope is all we have.

To Emma's family and boyfriend and dog Hazel, My husband and I send our most sincere and heartfelt condolences. Emma worked for us at our restaurant in Durango and left an indelible impression. She was hard working, bright and capable and graced us with her style, creativity, passion and kindness every day. I can't say enough about her and how impacted we have been by her death.
