Where do I begin. Emma was my co-worker at the State's Attorney's Office in Lake County, Illinois. We worked together in the Juvenile Division until I moved to Arizona after getting married. We stayed in touch over the years and often got together when she visited her son in Arizona. We exchanged Christmas cards every year until a couple of years ago when she told me she was Just done with sending cards. I admired her for sending cards all those years!! As we reflect on our relationship with Aunt Emma~we are all truly blessed, as a result.
She was my aunt/friend by choice. Delightful, kind and loving as anyone could be.
The letters, notes and all (years and years) flew through the miles between us
She was a strong, remarkable lady. Lynne and Sherry, as well as all her family, please
know your tender, loving care carried her through. She lived a long life, but now time to rest.
Peace arrived.
