Not sure what to say?

Mrs Duffy, Mike and Liz...

I am very sorry for your loss. I obviously knew Dr Duffy personally from soccer with Mike, which was great because his sense of humor (outside of school) was awesome. I may have been young during those years but I got it. Joking aside he as a Principal, did something very special for me, he talked to me when I had a problem in my life. It was important to me and I never really thanked him.....I think he probably knew though, but I wanted the three of...

Dr. Duffy will truly be missed and he had a positive influence on us all.

Dr. Duffy's passion for Glenbrook North and all of its students was always evident. He took the time and effort to personally help me transition from GBN to my successful college life at Brigham Young University. I will always be grateful to him for his kindness and confidence.

Dear Mrs. Duffy and family:

Terribly sad to learn of Dr. Duffy's death. I fondly remember his smile as I handed him a cigar as I walked acoss the stage at graduation, just as Jay had done five years earlier. Please take comfort in knowing that his influence has spread more good than you'll ever know.

With warm regards,

Dear Family-

I am saddenned by the passing of a wonderful educator and motivator. Dr. Duffy was my homeroom teacher and my mentor for four of the greatest years of my life. I cannot put into words how he guided me on my quest through high school and the impact he has had on me throughout the years.

I wish you my best, and believe you already know what am impact to youth he had, and his legacy and teachings will live on forever in the hearts of those that spent any time...

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Duffy family on your lost. As a former student and 1985 graduate of GBN, I had a great deal of respect for Dr. Duffy. His drive for excellence brought out the best in his students. His legacy will certainly be felt for generations to come.

My sincerest condolences go out to the family of Dr. Duffy. I was a student at Glenbrook North High School during a portion of Dr. Duffy’s tenure as Principal. Although I spent no time in his office, I know he was a good and caring man. May his family find comfort in knowing the large number of students’ lives he touched in a positive way.

Dear Mrs. Duffy, Mike, Liz and families,

Dr. Duffy holds a permanent place in my memories and in my heart - I remember how kind he always was to my siblings and me as we rode bikes throughout our childhood neighborhood, and that kindness remained as he encouraged me and influenced me throughout my years at GBN. The Glenbrook North family has lost an amazing member, but his legacy lives on in the thousands of lives he touched throughout his career. My thoughts and prayers are with...

Dear Mary,

I was so sad to hear of Jim's death. With his passing and that of Bill Schreiner, the Glenbrook community has lost two exceptional men.

When Jim helped form the Early Riser's Rotary Club in Northbrook, I had the opportunity to work closely with him for a few years. His devotion to Rotary was similar to his love for children and their education, unsurpassed. I am so happy to have known him.

My best to you and your...
