We will really miss Shorty, He was a wonderful and caring person. He helped us without a second thought for years.

I would like to thank the friends of my father, Emmett for taking the time to sign this guest book. Thank you for your thoughts. My father loved life and his family. He spoke often of the people he had encountered throughout his life. Thank you, again.

I am one of the many people the Shorty touched. I'm saddened by his passing.

Nearly 25 years ago I met Emmett while working at the Sands.
My desk was tucked into a corner of the lobby and the parking garage. I was most always alone as the majority of my work came by phone.
Emmett took me under his wing and would check on me at various times of my shift which included nights.Said a young girl needs to have someone look out for her! Well it was months before I told him that my boyfriend (he later became my husband) was a security guard and ALL of security...
