Not sure what to say?

I met Emmett when I came to work at American General years ago. I am grateful I had the opportunity to work with him up until his retirement; he was a great person to work with and in doing so we became the best of friends. I am so glad I had the opportunity to spend some time with him before his passing. He will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dan and The Horton Family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May the wonderful memories of "Bubba" bring you comfort. He was a special cousin and friend. I will miss hearing from him.

I was a part of the family for so many years that Emmett always seened like a brother to me. He was always such a caring man and was always there to listen and to cheer a person when needed. I still can't believe he is no longer with us. He will be truly missed. The only consolation I have is that he is sitting with Jesus now and is no longer ill, and one day I will see him again. I prey for God's peace for all his family and friends. I'm so sorry I can't be there with you now but I...

Uncle Emmett will be dearly missed! He was a wonderful son, brother and uncle. He cared about his family and friends and touched their lives so that everyone was better in having known him.

He will be missed dearly but I take comfort in knowing that when we are with the Lord we are only separated for but a short time. I rejoice that I will one day be reunited with my Uncle Emmett!

I am sorry but we will not be able to come to the funeral. Emmett or Bubba as he was known to me will be missed. I was just getting to know him and did enjoy his e-mails that were unique and entertaining. It was so wonderful to have our "Horton" reunion....

I worked with Emmett at American General. He was truly a very kind and gentle person. I am sorry for your loss.

I will cherish the friendship we had and the many wonderful times we spent together.

'Z', as he signed his Emails, will surely be missed by me. Having met Emmett through my dear friend Jim Rogers, Emmett quickly climbed to the top of the list of the true meaning of the word Friend! His emails were unique and entertaining and always with music. He shared with me some of the poems he had written, and he truly was a talented writer. I have an Angel "Sittin' on a Pumpkin" in Heaven that will welcome Emmett there. I loved them both!
