My thoughts and prayers go out the family .

I first met Emmett in August of 1971 when he graciously consented to allow me to interview for the open position of Wine Buyer, for the Sav-Way Liquor chain of retail stores. While I was able to pass his rigorous test for wine knowledge; the very wise man that he was, had serious doubts about the ability of a very young 29 year old, with zero experience in buying wine commercially, nor any experience with managing retail wine departments, could be able to perform the duties of the position...

I am so sorry to hear of your Father's passing. He was an icon in our business who commanded respect both in and outside of the business community. These days will be difficult but I have hopes that, eventually, you will be able to concentrate on all of the good memories.
