Emmett L. Price, Jr., 76, Anderson, passed away July 21, 2005 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born June 5, 1929 in Anderson and lived in the Anderson and Pendleton areas all of his life. He was a graduate of Anderson High School. He retired in 1989 from Guide Lamp.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and UAW – CIO Local 663. He was a US Army Veteran.
He is survived by three sons, David (wife, Tamara) Price of Pendleton, Kevin Price of Anderson and Keith (wife, Brenda) Price of Romania; five grandchildren, Heather Price, Paul Price, Maria Price, Sam Price and Benjamin Price; two great-grandchildren, Kirstin Price and Kai Price; and special friend, Guinn Craig of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, M. Maxine Price in 1998; and his parents, Emmett L. and Mary (Hastings) Price.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Stump officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Hospice.
