We still hold on to our wonderful memories of the times we spent with Emmett, especially our trips to Hawaii and Mexico. May he rest in peace as we continue to cherish our memories.

I had the pleasure of working with Emmett at the beginning of his legal career and was always impressed with his warmth, his intelligence, and his quick wit. He was easy to talk to, good with a joke, and I always pictured him with that wry smile on his face. I have fond memories of the two of us passing time in my office talking about the Hawks or sharing funny anecdotes, of which he seemed to have a steady supply. On hearing of his passing, the world felt a little dimmer without his light....

Dear Shaughnessy family, Words cannot express the depth of the sorrow we feel for you over the tragic loss of Emmet. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I was one of his roommates at the University of Arizona. There wasn't a day that went by without Emmett bringing up one of his family members and how much they meant to him. He truly loved his family.
