Not sure what to say?

To my wonderful Principal and Man of God that encouraged me to live for Lord. I just came across this opportunity to remember a man who put God first in his work, in his family and in all he did. He was a witness for God in his love for all. He inspired me as he chose above criticism during school assemblies to have a student read from the Bible and have a prayer. WOW! I came back to Jackson to visit him after my first semester of College during Christmas . He again was encouraging me....

THIS CANDLE REPRESENT THAT BEAUTIFUL LIGHT PRESENT IN THE LIFE OF MR. EMMENT HAYES. A GREAT GODLY MAN.

Mr. EMMENT HAYES was the Assistant Principal at JHHS when I was a senior in 1965.I worked in his office for extra credit MY senior year. He was an outstanding administration and always very professional. He cared about the well-being of all the students. Mr. Hayes was very anchored in his faith as well as a strong pillar in his Community and the city of Jackson. I was classmate with Paulette and Roy Patton. May each of you YOU lean and depend on GOD's Perfect Strength during the dark days...

My condolences to the Hayes family.
I was a young fellow who played with his youngest son and when I would meet him he'd always have a smile. He was one of the nicest parents I'd ever met. A very professional and caring man who will always be a positive role models for our neighborhood. He will be greatly missed but his inspiration lives in the many people he has met.

I add my condolences to the Hayes family as all Jim Hill alumni, friends, and family do at this time of bereavement. May your loved one rest in peace. I will always remember Mr. Hayes as a good, and decent man.

To the entire family of Mr. Hayes(cousin Emmitt as I called him)-you all are in our thoughts and prayer.
Your cousins Phillip Willis, Jr., Dr. Darlene Willis, Phillip III and James

Rest in Peace Mr Hayes.

Mr. Hayes was my principal at Jim Hill High School, Class of 1974. He was a good principal and a very nice man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I know that you are blessed with his legacy and the godly example he set for you all.
