Mom,
I want to share a poem that I found that is perfect for us. I love and miss you so much. You are in my heart and with me forever.

God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "Come with Me" With tearful eyes I watched you, and saw you pass away. Although I loved you dearly, I could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me, he only takes the best.... love you Mom!

Mrs. Kelley and I worked together at Whittier Elementary. We often had long conversations about her family especially her grandkids and husband. They were the light of her life. Mrs. Kelley was truly a kind and talented person.(Her art work still lives in our school library ). Emojean Kelley, the world has truly lost an amazing woman.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kelley family. I vividly remember Mrs. Kelly since she was my daughter's 3rd grade teacher at Westwood Elementary in Spring Branch. She truly loved teaching and I'm so glad April and I came to know this special lady. I can remember back when she was so excited about her son marrying Mary Lou Retton. She was such a proud parent. I'm sure she was a great Mother and a fun-loving Grandmother! Hopefully one of her grand-daughters will become a teacher. We need more teachers like Mrs. Kelley. She will be missed by many. Sincerely, Caroline & April Harkins

Mrs. Emojean Kelley was always eager to support Whittier Elementary School in its projects or program. Artistic talent was one of her many gifts and she didn't hesitate to share her art talents with the children and staff of Whittier Elementary School. During one of Mrs. Kelley recovering period she was confined to her home and during that time she created 60+ art pieces for the staff of Whittier Elementary School as a Holiday Gift. How lucky I am to have one of her precious art pieces. My memories of Emojean will always be rich in love, giving and laughter. Thank you "The Family of Emojean Kelley" for sharing a beautiful lady.

My thoughts and prayers are with each of the Kelley family members during this time of great sorrow. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know Jean; she was a "Lady" in every sense of the word and was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She showed such strength, courage and determination and truly touched my life. During the last few months Jean shared with me many stories of her family, and with each story there was a big smile on her face and obvious pride. She loved each of you so very much! While Jean will be greatly missed, I pray that you each will find comfort in memories and in the knowledge that Jean is now resting in peace, free of pain and in the arms of our Lord.

She made an impact on my life with her bright smiles every morning as she greeted her students entering her doorway. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
