Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, ENRIQUE QUEZADA CHAVEZ, age 80, of Mesquite passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 23, 1938 in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, Mexico to Ester Quezada and Felipe Chavez. Enrique worked as a farm labor and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife of forty-two years, Eliva Chavez of the family home; a daughter, Vanessa Escarsiga (Joseph) of Las Cruces; two sons, Enrique Chavez, Jr., of Mesquite and Juan Carlos Chavez of El Paso, TX; two brothers, Felipe Chavez (Nela) of Deming and Cuauhtémoc "Paqueño" Chavez of Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, MX; a sister, Mariana Herrera of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, MX. Other survivors include two grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Enrique was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Flora, Ema and Rosy Chavez; a brother, Gildardo "Mono" Chavez; and a grandson, Robbie.
Visitation for Mr. Chavez will begin at 6 PM Thursday, August 16, 2018 at San Jose Catholic Church, 353 Josephine Street in La Mesa where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, August 17, 2018 in the same church with the Reverend Alejandro "Alex" Ureña Celebrant. At his request cremation will take place and Inurnment of cremains will be held at a late date.
Serving as casket bearers will be Enrique Chavez, Jr., Joseph Escarsiga, Jose Baylon, Victor Baylon, Alfredo Gomez and Albino Quezada.

Thank you por todo Dad! You helped us all so much with so many things throughout the years. How I wish I could go back to being younger and be messing around at the house like we us too. Feeling confident that you would have our backs. Or laughing because you told us another crazy chiste. You mean a lot to us and there are so many memories.
